Chlamydia
Chlamydia can occur in the mouth, the genitals and the rectum.
The infection can also appear in the eyes of a new born.
In women, the most common place it grows is the cervix (the opening of the uterus).
From there, it can spread into the uterus and fallopian tubes.
It can also grow in the urethra (the opening through which urine is passed).
Teenage girls are at greater risk than adults for this infection, although it can occur at any age.
